I keep coming back to the way Ohmikron locks the tempo at a deceptively manageable 111 BPM while letting the energy dial sit at a punishing ten. In the key of 2A, those chords carry the slate-grey melancholy I expect from proper Dub Techno, each delay tail carving deeper until the low end feels less like bass and more like tectonic drift. It moves slow, but it moves heavy. In my sets, this functions as a weighted blanket for the floor—too bruising for warm-up, too deliberate for frantic peak-time fare, yet perfect for that hypnotic 3 AM pocket where heads nod in unison under smoke and strobe. CANO have delivered a track that trusts the crowd to lean into the drag rather than chase the drop; I am more than happy to oblige.
